    2. Rick, That is what I don't understand. WV has state codes that I thought prohibited this sort of action. But I guess I am wrong. I have an uncle from Mingo County and a couple of years ago, our great great grandparents farm here in Fayette County was bought and I was concerned about the small family cemetery located there. My uncle, who for the last thirty years has worked on strip mines told me that there was no need for concern that WV has laws that protect those old cemeteries and the company that he works for obeys those laws. So, apparently some of them (such as Massey and Arch) for whatever reason get away with the destruction. Massey Energy is a pain in many of our backsides that live here in WV. Anita

    3. Anita, I am sure the codes are there. They are mostly not being inforced and when they are, the the fines are so small that they don't even count. Were I you, I would go check the family cemetery if possible. That is if you are even allowed to get to it. You didn't mention who your uncle sold it to. Or have someone in the area check for you.
