Anthony Lawson II (Anthony) was born October 31, 1785 in Stanton, Northumberland, England. Philip Preston's children and grand children married into the Burgess family. William Burgess and Philip Preston were neighbors in Bedford County, Virginia. Standon and Ingestre look to be just a few miles from each other - no more than 30 miles. I have found a Burgess family from Standon, Staffordshire, England that may be our family.
