In 1746 , Smith purchased 253 acres on the Dan River in Lunenburg (later Halifax) County. VA . They had two daughters Keziah [ married John Dean ] and Penninal [married Thomas Robertson ] Keziah Smith and husband John Dean's son John Dean born 1765 died 1846 Wayne Co. WV [ his wife was Hannah Marshall - Eleanor Eliz Echols Smith married William Murphy after Gideon Smith died. Gideon abt 1756-1760 Gideon had a brother Daniel Smith married Frances Evans . I thought maybe with John Dean son of Keziah Smith Dean's son living in Wayne Co. WV maybe there was a connection to this Smith line . I know SMITH is a very common name.
