Hi Stanley; I read with interest your story on the church benefit pie socials.We had a similar pageant at Chapmanville High school each year, to raise money for the school's needs.George Chapman was the MC. He was a professional salesman, so he did all he could to raise money at the annual events. One year, they held a 'meanest boy' contest. George Yeager was the champ at this, and walked off with a sack of flour as the prize, exclaiming " Mama will bake some good biscuits with this , "grin.
