    1. Re: [WVLOGAN] A Simplier Time and Place
    2. I remember too the Christmas of 1934. I was 10 years old. Times were hard, but my dad believed in "practical" gifts, such as clothing, shoes. I remember waking to find under the tree a pair of new boots, with a sidepocket with a small knife . I was delirous with joy ! my mom also filled the sock with taffee candy(homemase) from molasses. Some how she found the money for an orange. I wish today's kids could be so happy; BUT they have never had the experiences of growing up in hardtimes,so what they do get is not so appreciated as some poor kids would enjoy. Merry Christmas to all ! Shelby PS: Stanley, I have a live Holly tree in my yard, with berrys ! It is the Am. kind. Dont buy any English Holly trees, as they dont bear berrys ! ************************************** Check out AOL's list of 2007's hottest products.
