The movie,Matewan, was filmed at Thurmond,near Hawks Nest. It seems the original town of Matewan was a bit too modern for the mining story,so Thurmond was chosen instead.Graffita is nothing modern; back in the 1920s the RJ Reynolds tobbacco co. had a huge sign painted on the Hawks nest cliff RJR. Logan County Researchers, I am interested in having access to a book called _The Wayne County, West Virginia Wilsons and Their Related Families: a Genealogical History of Progenitors James and Sarah (Mounts) Wilson and Their Descendants_by James Everett Wilson. I used OCLC First Search to determine that the book is owned by several libraries. I attempted to interlibrary loan it but was told that all copies are reference and can not be lent. I searched www.abebooks.com, www.alibris.com and www.amazon.com Of the three, Amazon seems to have had copies in the past but currently has none. Does anyone on the list have a copy of this book?
