In searching my ancestors on both my father's side, and my mothers.I can find hardly any on dads side ( Burgess, Canterbury, Jarrel, Farley). On my mom's side (Baisden, Hager, Workman,Dempsey), I see plenty of murders, homocides, suicides. This is not to say dads side were saints( they might plunk some revenue officer for busting their still).Im wondering if this violence is hereditery, or not ? Shelby
Shelby I think the bible verse "train up a child in the way it should go and when it is old it shall not depart from it" has ALOT to do with it. It only takes one person in a family to switch it around by teaching their children morals. I have seen this personally from a family of alcoholics of generations, one man changed that course for him and his children and now grandchildren.
