Hello cousin Gracie; Thats a big task ;The Logan county courthouse was burned about that time (1860) Babe Fowler salvaged a few marriages.See Logan County Home page. Probbably have to go to the Va. Archives for help. Shelby
Found a record (IGI) that said they married in Boone Co., does that make a difference? 1860 census has them married, but first child born sometime in 1861. They may have married in 1859. Another question: If I order George's civil war file, what information will be on it? Since I have not seen one, is it worth looking at? I have not found a pension record for him. I believe this is his civil war record: George W. Hager (First_Last) Regiment Name 34 Batt'n Virginia Cavalry Side Confederate Company D Soldier's Rank_In Private Soldier's Rank_Out Sergeant Alternate Name Washington/Hager Notes Film Number M382 roll 23 ----- Original Message ----- From: <BurgessWV@aol.com> To: <WVLOGAN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, July 14, 2006 3:01 PM Subject: Re: [WVLOGAN] Virginia marriage records > Hello cousin Gracie; > Thats a big task ;The Logan county courthouse was burned about that time > (1860) > Babe Fowler salvaged a few marriages.See Logan County Home page.
