    3. It's not the violence that's inherited. It's a gene that prohibits/inhibits controlling one's actions, especially when angered. I believe that's the same gene that prohibits people from controlling the abuse of drugs, alcohol, gambling, sexual addictions, etc. A psychiatrist explained it to me as "they have no turn off valve." It can be helped with many things, but drugs, psychotherapy and counseling were not available back in our ancestors' days. Then again, my Aunt Dana always said some folks are just plain born mean.
