McComas Cematery Dairy Road is the road that follows the Guyandote River between Salt Rock and West Hamlin. If you were in Salt Rock on Rt. 10 turn right onto the road just before the bridge that crosses the Guyandotte River and railroad tracks. This will take you past the Salt Rock School. You will need to make a left turn onto Dairy Road about 1 1/2 miles out this road (If you continued straight ahead you'd be on Madison Creek Road). This road comes out at West Hamlin, at the end of the bridge crossing the Guyandotte River on Rt. 10. The cemetery you are looking for may be the one I have heard is located back on a hill across from where the old McComas Dairy was located. I have never been to this cemetery and don't know what the name of it is. There is also a possibility it may be the one I was told about that was destroyed by a farmer who bought the property (this happened years ago) and removed all the headstones from their location, dumping them into a pile somewhere because he was afraid his cattle would fall over the headstones. This was told to me by a man who lives across the river from where the farm is, as he saw this being done and inquired why.
