McCallister. His tombstone at Graceland Cemetery, Ruth, Kanawha Co., WV states 1907-1989. The 1910 Lincoln Co., WV Duval Dist. Census gives his age as 7. William R. Lacy born about 1863 m-1 Sarah Collins (b. 1867) in 1885. She was the daughter of Michael & Chloe Collins. They had: Allie b. 1888, Guy b. 1891, Cary B. b. 1894, Arthur b. 1896, and Alcie b. 1899. In 1900 they are living with her parents in Lincoln Co., Carroll Dist. Sarah and all of the children are gone in 1910 census. William remarried in 1903 to Mary, last name unknown to me. They have Caldonia b. 1904, George W. b. 1905, and E. Mary b. 1908. 1910 Census finds the family in Lincoln County, Duval District. Mary has brought a child, C. L. McCallister, her son, age 7 in 1910. 1920 census finds them still in Lincoln Co., Duval Dist. with additional children: Myrtle b. 1911, Thelma b. 1914, John b. 1916, and Harry b. 1920. Chilton is using the name Lacy in this census, William listed him as his son. Chilton L. "Silk" McCallister married Ethel Chandler. I was told by my grandfather that he was the son of Bail / Bell / Bailey McCallister. Bell was married to Virgee Ellen McCallister. Chilton's parents were not married to each other. I'd like to know where Mary and her children went after 1920. I have found some information for Chilton but would like to know who his mother was before she was married and who her parents were.
