    1. [WVLINCOL] Obituary
    2. Lynda Davis-Logan
    3. The following obituary was appeared in today's issue of "THE HERALD-DISPATCH (Huntington, WV - Aug 17, 2001, pg. 2C) I had the wonderful opportunity to see and listen to Mrs. Ethel Triplett two years ago in Jan. 1999 at Salt Rock Elementary School in Salt Rock (Cabell Co.,WV). She came as a special guest to share her life experience with the student body. Today when I saw her obituary, and some of the surnames listed, I realized that we might be related. So I went online and did a Google search and turned up a Website that listed some of the Triplett names. I found out that Ethel's late husband was a first cousin of my paternal grandfather. I haven't made any connection to Ethel's LUCAS line (YET!!) but I'm sure it's there. Oh, how I wish that I had known this connection two years ago!! She would have known my gg-grandparents - Greenville and Mary Elizabeth (DONAHUE) CLAY. They were her late husband's grandparents. Ethel knew SO MUCH about the life of the early 1900's and her mind was so clear. She would have been a real source of information if I'd only known. That's why I'm posting this to the list today. Lynda's WORDS OF WISDOM!! "Don't concentrate on just one line. Keep track of all surnames that come into your line. You never know when or where you'll find that missing piece."
