He was born in Lincoln County abt. 1886 He married Rachel Browning in 1904 in Mingo County. He was suppose to have been killed at a pumping station on the Tug River in or around Naguatuck. He died before my grandmother was born or right after she was born. She was born in March 1905. He is suppose to be buried at Peg Leg Kelly Vance's cemetery at Breeden. Seeking for any information on the time and place of his death. His parents were William Riley Vance who was married to Nancy Jane Kirk, d/o of Thomas and Rebecca Kirk. William Riley was the s/o Richard Vance and Matilda Jane Browning.
