Is it Holley or McClung? According to the VA marraige records, Franklin Johnson married Ida Kelly Holley on July 3, 1834 in Cabell County, VA. They had 10 children that I'm aware of: (in birth order) Squire Charles A. md Sarah Edwards Benjamin - death cert. list mother as Ida McClung James Avis - death cert. list mother as Ida Holley Sarah Francis - death cert. list mother as Ida McClung (Sarah married Crawford Vest) Martha Crosby - died before 1860 Matilda - death cert lists mother as Ida Holley (md John Heck) Elisha - article posted about his death lists Ida McClung Enoch - death cert. lists Ida McClung It can't be two different women. The last name alternates back and forth too much. Could Ida have married, even briefly to someone else before Franklin or after Franklin? I've seen what the death certificates say as well as the VA marriage index. I'm wondering if anyone has seen Ida's last name as McClung anyplace else other than the death certificates. This puzzle is driving me wacky and I could really use some help. Lora
