Surnames: Burns Lewis Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ZCC.2ACE/1396.1.1 Message Board Post: I believe his Mother was Alice A Lewis, her death cert. lists her birth 17 Dec 1859 but there is some gedcom files that lists 16 Dec 1859. Her husband was James C (JC) Burns his death cert lists him as being born in OH but the census records say WV, his son listed a JC as the father. The only James or JC Burns that i have found that matches up is the son of David Burns. The online gedcom files say the marriage record of Alice and James lists James's father David but I haven't found the record. Alice's father was Samuel David Lewis born 19 May 1811 Monroe VA, died 12 Dec 1884 Hamlin WV. Her Mother was Margaret A. Johnson born 3 Jan 1837 in Lawrence OH, died 1889.
