    1. Ida Holley or Ida McClung
    2. Franklin Johnson (1801 - 1893), lived on Mud River, near Hamlin. He married a woman named Ida. I'm having difficulty with Ida's maiden name. According to the VA Marriage records, Franklin Johnson married Ida Holley on July 3, 1834 in Cabell County. Franklin and Ida have at least 10 children: Squire, Charles, Benjamin, James Avis, Sarah, Martha, Crosby, Matilda, Elisha, and Enoch. According to the death certificates for Benjamin, Sarah and Enoch, their mother was Ida McClung. According to the certificate for James Avis, his mother was Ida Holley, which matches the name on the marriage certificate. So I'm trying to figure out it the mother should be listed as Ida Holley or Ida McClung. I've thought perhaps there were two wives, both named Ida and about the same age but there is still the problem that James listed his mother as Ida Holley, yet his older brother and younger sister listed her as Ida McClung. Any help on this would be appreciated. Lora
