Folks please remember that viruses cannot be sent to a rootsweb list because the list will not allow attachments. However, an unlucky person who opens an attachment can send the virus out to anyone who has sent an email to a list he/she is a member of because the virus replies and sends itself to folks who have written on the lists. Today I received 14 virus notes from various Eastern KY listers and researchers. Please don't open any note with an attachment unless you know for certain that the note was sent on purpose. I always write the sender to verify in cases where I'm unsure. Also important is getting virus protection. You will be doing yourself and others a favor by being sure you are virus free to the best extent possible. Having just managed to get my computer almost back in shape, I'm doubly careful. Don't want to lose all that great info! Laura (list administrator)
