Mullins on the 1890 and 1900 Lincoln Co. Census. I found him on the 1880 Lincoln Census. He was 32. Wife,Louisa J Mullins age 24. Daughter,Mary J. age 6. I found a personal History of this James P. Mullins in the Isleham Files-Hardesty's Historical and Geographical Encyclopedia 1884. It reads...James P.Mullins came to Lincoln County in 1877, and now owns about 250 acres of the farming land on Hart Creek. Good improvements on the farm and a large orchard. Mr Mullins was born in Kentucky in 1848 and is the son of James P. and Dorcas ( Mullins) Mullins, residents of Boone County, WV. Elizabeth J. the daughter of Isham and Dicy (Johnson) Collins, was born in Kentucky, Oct. 5, 1855, and in Buchanan Co., Virginia, May 25 1872 became the wife of James P. Mullins. Five children are the result of their union. Mary J., born oct. 5, 1875,Victoria, April 23, 1876, Albert, July 18, 1877, Minnie B., July 01, 1879, James A.,Nov. 13, 1883. Mr. Mullins is a man of good business qualifications and prosperously engaged in merchandicing, with business headquarters on Hart Creek one and one half miles from it's mouth. He may be addressed at Hart, Lincoln County, West Virginia. There would be at least one more child listed on the 1890 and 1900 census. His name was Vincent "Doc" Mullins. He was born in 1885.
