    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: HANNAH, PHELPS Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ZCC.2ACE/1000 Message Board Post: I'm looking for any info on Margaret Hannah who was my great-aunt. She was a Phelps. She was married first to Thomas B. Smith and second to William Kirk. I don't know who her "Hannah" husband was. In an obit for Margaret's mother it said she lived in Nun, WV. I can't find such a place on any map, so am putting this query in several WV county boards. Someone sent me an e-mail with an attachment about a Margaret Hannah, but nothing was there. I would like to here from this person again. Thanks.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ZCC.2ACE/124.442.527.580.1.1.2 Message Board Post: Dear Joetta, My husband is a descendant of Charles A. Zirkle (son of George Washington), and I too am researching this family. I have the same information you have listed here with a few exceptions: Instead of Seabird, I have Leabird. And James L. Zirkle married Nancy Jane Adkins, not McVey. She was born June 13, 1854 and died April 15, 1925. They are both buried in the Claypool Cemetery in Logan County West Virginia. Their daughter Frances Cordelia married Christopher McVey, and that may be where you found the McVey name. I have their marriage date, and spouses for the other children of James and Nancy if you're interested. I hope we can share information. Do you know of any other children born to Solomon Neece and Barbara Newcomer? I have one sister to Millie Malinda. Also, it was recorded that George Washington Zirkle was married three times and had 18 children. I believe he was married before he married Elizabeth, and had one child. Do you have any information on that possibility? Also, my husband's grandfather remembers having an Aunt "Liza". Do you have any record of an Eliza Zirkle being born to George and Millie around 1867? Thank you for the McCallister line, however. Deon Zerkle jdzerk@lvcm.com

    2. Knott Historical Society
    3. Does anyone know where this John Fugate is buried at? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated by his descendants here in Eastern Kentucky. Sincerely yours, David R. Smith, Pres. Knott County Historical Society Hindman, Kentucky 1. John "Blue" Fugate, born Tuesday, 18 May 1832 in Perry Co., KY, died Monday, 14 August 1916 in Lincoln County, West Virginia (son of Zachariah Fugate and Mary "Polly" Smith). John volunteered for duty in the Confederate Army on October 1, 1862 at Whitesburg, KY, serving with Company C, 13th Kentucky Cavalry as a Private. The Compiled Service Records list him as deserting in the latter part of 1863. Has anyone proof that he ever returned for service in the Confederacy after this date, as there is an apparent interest in ordering a Veteran’s Administration tombstone for him, once his grave is located in West Virginia? Attention – Marlitta Perkins and Eastern Kentucky Brigade Commander. Documentation requested by Larry and Curt Fugate, Sons of Confederate Veterans, Hindman, Kentucky. He married Lettie M. Smith, July, 1855 in Perry Co., KY, born 12 April 1834 in Perry Co., KY, (daughter of Lorenzo Dow Smith and Sarah Fugate). 1. [WVLINCOL] Virus, Virus, Virus!
    2. I just bought the NEW NORTON 2002 and scanned my system. I had over 12 virus's and didn't even know. Here are some of the names: SETUP.DOC.scr DC 732.PIF doc.scr hamster.zip.scr Sorry about yesterday.D... W32.Badtran.13312@mm W32.Badtrans.B@mm W32.Magistr.24876@mm :KERNEL32.DLL Also received an Attachment from _ldawson@Marshall.edu in the Lincoln Co.Rootsweb, if anyone knows who this is, can you please let them know they are passing a virus! So, I'm following suit, and if anyone wants to send me an attachment please let me know ahead of time or otherwise I will delete! Can someone tell me how I can get my BROWSER to work again? I can not open anything from it! I've tried to cut and paste and nothing. I've tried to go to YAHOO and MSN and can not! Thanks in Advance! PS I've cleared the History and Temporary Files. And it still won't work! Kathy Lynn > There is a lot of those virus' going around. My email tries to get me to > open them or save it to a disk, I immediately delete it without doing > either. We need to make a rule > on > the Internet that we warn our friends ahead of time before we send a file > attachment so that they can be expecting it. Otherwise delete all > unexpected attachments. > > Sincerely > Dorna Its time for the next round. Folks please remember that viruses cannot be sent to a rootsweb list because the list will not allow attachments. However, an unlucky person who opens an attachment can send the virus out to anyone who has sent an email to a list he/she is a member of because the virus replies and sends itself to folks who have written on the lists. Today I received 14 virus notes from various Eastern KY listers and researchers. Please don't open any note with an attachment unless you know for certain that the note was sent on purpose. I always write the sender to verify in cases where I'm unsure. Also important is getting virus protection. You will be doing yourself and others a favor by being sure you are virus free to the best extent possible. Having just managed to get my computer almost back in shape, I'm doubly careful. Don't want to lose all that great info! Laura (list administrator)

    1. [WVLINCOL] HUTCHINSON AND HARLER OR HARLES and Curtis!
    2. Hello, I have been trying to connect this Charles Harler or Harles to a Charles Harles who lived on the land of my HARLESS CREEK Holler with a Mildred Bowen. Mildred divorced him and is alone in the 1880 and 1900 Census. The closes I can come to a Charles fitting the same age is one in Lawrence Co. OHIO in the 1880 Census. Listed in the OHIO Census is a wife named Margaret. Charles Harles age 49 born VA Margaret age 29 born VA Anna age 11 born VA Willie J. age 8 born VA Mary E. age 6 born VA Charles Thomas age 4 born VA A Charles Harler or Harles had two children that were 12 years apart. A boy and girl, their mothers last name was Curtis. The daughter married a Hutchinson and they are listed in Lincoln Co. WV in the 1880 Census. Since these two children kept the mothers maiden name and being 12 years apart makes me think Charles was a lady's man! He also had a child with MILDRED BOWEN by the name of Cynthia, who was born in 1854. Hmmm! Here are (my Notes) and the 1880 Census for Curtis children: Lincoln County WV Sheridan Dist. # 004 WWC Hutchison AGE 32 (Washington Winfield married Eliza Harler Aug 2, 1870 in Cabell Co. Salt Rock WV) Eliza Hutchison AGE 24(born Dec 1, 1855 to Charles Harler and Sarah Curtis) Walter V. AGE 7 George C. AGE 5 William AGE 3 Rosannah AGE 7/12 OCT 1879 Henry Curtis AGE 12 B-i-L This family lives close to My Harless Line that lived in Branchland, Sheridan Dist. Lincoln Co. WV I found a Charles Harler(CharlesHarler@aol.com) who submitted a request for information on this line. He has the Charles in OHIO married to Margaret Ann HUTCHINSON. Hmm! According to birth records for George C. born on Feb 25, 1879 in Lawrence, Lawrence Co. his mothers name was Brown. But, he is not listed in the 1880 Census's. Maybe I'm wrong! Now, the Charles I'm searching for was a Confederate and captured and sent to Camp Chase! I have his Civil War Records. You might note he did not have any children during the Civil War Time that we know of (YET!) WRAP-UP on Charles and his possible children: 1st Cynthia(1854) mother Mildred Bowen 2nd Eliza (1855) mother Sarah Curtis 3rd Henry (1868) mother Sarah Curtis 4th Anna (1869) Margaret Hutchinson (?? Brown) 5th Willie J. (1872) Margaret Hutchinson (?? Brown) 6th Mary E. (1874) Margaret Hutchinson (?? Brown) 7th Charles Thomas (1876) Margaret Hutchinson (?? Brown) 8th George C.(Feb. 25,1879) Margaret Brown (Possible and questionable?????) In the 1870 Census Charles is with Mildred and Cynthia. A William J. Harless is also in the home and he is 19 years old, listed as working on farm. Another possible child?? His birthdate would be 1851. SO, at this time I'm calling all HARLER's HUTCHINSON's and HARLES and CURTIS's! Sincerely Kathy Lynn PS To reply, please add my E-mail to SEND TO: I'm not on most of the List I have posted too!
