I don't know much about Hedie but I'll bet my mother does, she is the youngest of the Saul children born to George after he married Julia Mcclure. I don't recall the name of the church and cemetery where Hedie is buried, but I'm confident that my mother has pointed it out to me a few times. I'll ask her (or recommend that she post here herself). Tonight is the first time I have ever sought information about the George Saul family, I am pleased and amazed to see reference to him here at this site. Thanks, Tim Miller - Columbus, Oh

It then runs throug Lincoln County to Hamlin and then on through Milton and finally empties into the Gyanndotte River at Barboursville in Cabell County. I still live on Mud River. In the part that is in Boone County. However, I am only about 6 miles from Lincoln County, which is about how much of Mud River that is in Boone County.

My families were from Mud Creek for a while. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Meg Fuller
Greetings. My name is Meg Fuller and I am trying to trace my Southern roots and have been stumped on this one for a while. I am trying to track my g grandparents and further back. They lived on the Mud Creek in Lincoln County for a while. A lot of the information that I have was told to me by my grandmother who was getting on in years and didn't have the most reliable memory. She also said that they were my grandfather's people and she didn't know anything about them. I know that my grandfather Samuel Earl WALLS b. 11-6-1906 and died 5-12-1978 and his siblings were born along the Mud River in Lincoln County. I haven't been able to find any records for any of them, including the birth record of my grandfather Samuel. I was told that Sam WALLS was raised by an uncle Ole ANDERSON after his father died. Sam's siblings were Danial Webster, Martha, Braxton B., and Carrie Mae. I have tentative dates of births for this line but nothing else. My Ggrandfather ( samuel's father) was John C. WALLS born c. 1869 and died 11- 20- 1916. (His death date was told to me by my grandmother who's memory wasn't the greatest). He married Mary ANDERSON daughter of Samuel ANDERSON and Valeria Elizabeth CURTIS. Sam and Valeria were married in Kanawha County. Their children were: Samuel, Ida Bell, Tob, Della ,Albert (formerly a LAYTON), John (Also fromerly a LAYTON), Henry, and Pearlew Robert ( I have info on this line). I've been told that John's parents were Joshua WALLS b 1838 and died after 1910 and Deborah COLLINS b. 1840 and died before 1810. I haven't been able to confirm or deny this information. I've been able to trace the CURTIS line, but not the ANDERSONS. My ANDERSON line is Mary- married to John above. She was born 1-11-1882 and died ?? Mary Anderson Walls' father Samuel either resided for a while with them or lived close. I only have as far back as Samuel ANDERSON and am trying to concentrate more on this line. Samuel ANDERSON was born 3-15-1844 and died 3-3-1939. I have no parental data on Sam ANDERSON. I would really like to be able to trace this line back. I was researching at the archives in Charleston a few years ago and didn't find anything. I'd appreciate any help as records have been hard to come by. Thank you, Meg Fuller
