Opal is my wife's mother. So far, we've found a half sister on my wife's father's side. And, we just found out today that Opal had married John Pauley, so we're seeking any of their decendants.     3. I am trying to find information about the parents of Samuel Harris born 1848-1852 and who married in Cabell County in 1873 Emily Roberts. They show up on the 1880 Census of Lincoln County as Samuel harris and wife Sarah. Sam and Emily had a large family and I believe most of them stayed in the Hamlin and West Hamlin and Sweetland area. Does anyone have any information about this man and his family? Thanks pat

I have an article from the Lincoln Journal/the weekly news sentinel dated Wednesday, April 27, 1994 that talks about Lincoln County's first white settlers came in 1799; they were Jessee McComas, John McComas, David McComas, William McComas and Moses McComas. My grandfather's name was Cleo McComas and I am looking for more information on his relatives that might still be in West Virginia. I also homeschool my children and we are doing a geanology project now on my grandfather's side of the family. thank you.

I also have the Graley Family History, Janney Family History, & the Aleshire Family History. I will do free look-ups in my cemetery records & in the Guardianship Bond records I have begun recording. I also have an extensive family data base that has many connections to other family names other than my direct line.
