I know a good amount of info. Maybe if you could dates and marraiges I could help more. His 2nd Gr grandfather was Hutson Cooper that died in 1933 in Milton. However Hutson also had an Uncle named Hudson that was married to Judy Adkins. Hudson Cooper son of Francis Cooper and Elizabeth Smith, was born about 1858 in West Virginia, died on October 12, 1933 in Milton, Cabell County, West Viginia, about age 75, and was buried in October 1933 in Jenkins Cemetary, Cabell Co. General Notes: In 1860 Hudson Cooper is living with his family in Ballardsville, Boone County Virginia. Hudson is four years old and was born in Boone County Virginia. By 1870 Hudson Cooper is 12 and works on the farm. In 1910 Hutson Cooper is 55 years old and found in the Grant district of Cabell County West Virginia. He lives on Lower Creek Road. He owns his own farm free and clear and lives with 2 sons; Asa & James and his daughter Bertha. He is listed as widowed. Hutson was reported as divorced on his death certificate. Hudson married Mary Elizabeth Stowers, daughter of Joe Stowers and Martha Ann Payne, about 1879. The marriage ended in divorce. Mary was born in April 1857 in Lincoln County, West Virginia, died in 1935, at age 78 and was buried in 1935 in Jenkins Cemetary, Cabell Co. Children from this marriage were: + 2 F i. Ellen Cooper (1). + 3 M ii. Albert Holstine Stowers Cooper was born on September 25,1875 in Lincoln County, West Virginia and died on March 19, 1949 in Milton, Cabell County, West Viginia, at age 73. Albert married Rosie Jenkins (b. August 19, 1875, d. March 21, 1947) on March 21, 1897 in Cabell County, West Virginia. + 4 F iii. Tillie Cooper was born on December 1, 1880 in Milton, Cabell County, West Viginia and died on August 29, 1959, at age 78. Tillie married Robert Garfield Morris (b. May 7, 1880, d. 1949) in 1913 in Milton, Cabell County, West Viginia (1). + 5 M iv. Henry Franklin Cooper was born on March 20, 1885 in Milton, Cabell County, West Viginia and died on November 13, 1963 in Cabell County, West Virginia, at age 78. Henry married Fanny Wooten Alexander (d. May 6, 1949).Henry married Marcella Jenkins on October 18, 1909 in Cabell County, West Virginia. + 6 F v. Rose Lee Cooper was born on January 1, 1887 and died on October 22, 1959 in Milton, Cabell County, West Viginia, at age 72. Rose married George Jenkins (b. March 18, 1881, d. Martha Ann Cooper was born on September 19, 1892 in Union District, Cabell County, West Virginia and died on January 15, 1972 in Montgomery, West Virginia, at age 79. Martha married Price J. Weaks (b. June 11, 1887, d. March 26, 1966) on December 27, 1909 in Milton, Cabell County, West Viginia. + 10 M ix. Ace Cooper was born on October 1, 1893 in Cabell County, West Virginia and died on March 23, 1986 in Milton, Cabell County, West Viginia, at age 92. Ace married Bertie L. Hensley. + 11 M x. James Cooper Sr. was born on June 19, 1896 in Milton, Cabell County, West Viginia and died on February 4, 1964 in Milton, Cabell County, West Viginia, at age 67. James married Virgie Lee Knapp (b. Darlene, as to your question about Charles Frank Mannon, I show him as the son of George and Ida Mannon in the 1900 Lincoln County Census.  It shows his age as 14 in 1900.  It also shows that he was married to Anna M. Wilkinson.  I show Charles brothers and sisters as Lizzie, age 11, Fred (Roscoe), age 9, Mary Ethel, age 7, Eva, age 2, and Clara between the ages of 9 and 12. (from the 1900 census). My uncle was Lloyd Mays born early 1900's who married Minnie Yeager and they had son, Robin (Robert) born 1940's in Lincoln County. Lloyd and Minnie divorced and she remarried a man whose last name was Nelson or Cummings. I do not know if Robin (Robert) adopted his step-father's last name and Robin would be late 50's or early 60's. I would like to find my cousin.
