He dated my mother for many years, and had three daughters. He met one of them when she was 12 years old, but never met the other two, we were adopted out. He was said to be direct decendent of Devil ance as well. He has a brother by the name of moss, or mossy. I know his sister was said to be a school teacher. Any information please on this line of Dent's who moved from VA to WV. Thomas moved to WV in the late 1800's. Their children included Tonie S. Dent August 7, 1881 - Dec. 13, 1912, and I believe Hattie Dent Byrd, 1878-1945 (wife of George Byrd) and Samuel Lee Dent, Nov. 30, 1872 - June 1, 1923 who are also buried at Harvey's Creek Cemetery. Tonie S. Dent married Clyde Mae Montgomery, who also moved from Rock Mt, VA to WV in the late 1800's Her father was John Robert Montgomery a music teacher and farmer in WV. Tonie and Clyde Mae's children were Ernest, Hazel Lee, March 24 1909 - 199?; Basil Arnold July 17, 1910 -Jan. 19, 1961 Buried at Valley View Cemetery, Hurricane WV and Raymond Dec. 7, 1907 - Nov. 1, 1922 buried Harvey's Creek. Clyde Mae Montgomery Dent married married Elmer Lawson after the death of Tonie S. Dent. I cannot find this Dent connection before Thomas.
