He had two wives, (1) Martha Moore and has 6 children (2) Arbelle Dunlap and had 7 children (she had a daughter before she married james and her name was Clyda Dunlap(?). Arbelle is buried in the Lively Cemetery. Martha Moore is my ggrandmother. Leslie Abrahan Runyan , son of James & Martha, is my grandfather. If you have any information on James J. parents or siblings, please let me know. I think his father was William Runyan but I'm not positive. Leeta Hall

HI Pat, look on www.marion.lib there they have the census records for 1870- and then you could look on www.familysearch.org for 1880 census and then again for George on the 1890 census at 1890 back at Marion library. I know the Dingess name. Hope this helps. Surnames: Smith McDaniel Rush Young Booth Sanderson Roman Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ZCC.2ACE/1186 Message Board Post: Violet Lillian McDaniel Violet Lillian (Smith) McDaniel of Tucumcari, New Mexico, died Wednesday, December 24, 2003 at Dan Trigg Memorial Hospital in Tucumcari. She was born October 31, 1904 on a farm along Muddy River, in Lincoln County, W. Va, near the small town of Hamlin, W. Va. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas. E. McDaniel and her daughter, Nelle Jo Rush, and her seven siblings: Effie Young, Raymond Smith, Clyde Smith, Rose Booth, Oscar Smith, Susie Sanderson and Clarice Roman. Her mother died when she was 8-years-old and her father contracted tuberculosis, shortly thereafter. The family moved to a farm, near Quay, NM in 1914, because of her father’s health. He passed away in 1915 and the family moved to Tucumcari in 1920. Violet attended high school in Tucumcari and married Thomas E. McDaniel, a resident of the area, on Aug. 19, 1925. They had two children, Nellie Josephine and Thomas Nolan, who they raised in Tucumcari. Violet began working as a nurse around 1930, and continued in that career for 40 years. She worked at the Tucumcari hospital, and for Doctors Hoover, Goldbloom, and Warner, during her career. She was a long-time member of the Tucumcari Church of Christ. She is survived by her son, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her son, Tom, and his family, reside in the Denver area. Her son-in-law, Odus Rush, and much of his family reside in the Forrest Community. Services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home and will be conducted by Violet’s nephew Evangelist Gary Workman. Pall bearers will be her grandsons Ray and Rex Rush and John and Michael McDaniel, and her great-grandsons David and Travis Rush. Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.

    2. I am trying to find some information about a Marshall Santee. He married Vernie or Verna Roberts Hanshaw daughter of George Roberts and Hattie Dingess. Marshall and Vernie are living with George on the 1900 Census. I have a old post card that was written by Verna to her grandparents and it was written in Linville Iowa. I am trying to find out who the families of the following people: These are children of Robert Lee Adkins and Anna Harris Harry Adkins I believe he was born Feb 1904 and died in 1987 Leslie Adkins Elmer Adkins Everett Adkins (He was my husbands father) Gladys I Adkins born 1907 and died 1994 ALmeda Adkins Lula Adkins Flossie Adkins Ruth Adkins I have been told that most of them are buried in the cemetery at the opposite end of Hamlin from the Ballpark.
