Bratt, 63 EAST LIVERPOOL Betty L. Bratt, 63, of Staunton Avenue died at 5 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2004, at home following a lengthy illness. Born in Smiths Ferry, Pa., July 25, 1940, daughter of Elma Pridemore McClure of East Liverpool and the late Amos McClure, she was a 1958 graduate of East Liverpool High School. A member of the New Hope Community Church, where for the past 10 years she ran the Benevolence Fund, she was a lifelong resident of the area. Most recently she had worked at Steckman Memorials in Calcutta, but she also had been employed at one time at the Calcutta Giant Eagle and the Glenmoor Superette. She and her husband Tom were cooks for the Tri-State Christian Retreat. Her husband, Roy Tom Bratt, whom she married June 16, 1958, survives at home. A daughter, Mrs. Timothy (Marcie) VanFosson of East Liverpool, and two sons, Michael L. Bratt and his wife Lisa of New Port Richey, Fla., and Roy T. Bratt Jr., and his wife Carol of Telford, Pa., survive. There are six grandchildren, Stacy Bratt Johnson, and her husband, Christopher, Michelle Bratt, Jason Bratt, Ryan Bratt, Trish VanFosson Wolfe, and her husband, Terry, and Kyle VanFosson. A great-grandson, Anthony Johnson, also survives. A sister, Mrs. Clare Mae Fife of Bowman, Ga., and three brothers, James McClure and his wife Mary Lou of Georgia, Raymond McClure and his wife Lois, of Wellsville, and Joe McClure and his wife Lena of Naples, Fla., also survive. Two sisters, Mable Linkous and Irene Kidder, and a brother, Lester McClure, preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the New Hope Community Church, 43152 St. Route 39 Wellsville, Ohio with the Rev. Ken Swelbar and the Rev. Paul Zaparach officiating. Burial will be in East Carmel Cemetery. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to New Hope Community Church, 43152 St. Route 39, Wellsville OH 43968.
