    1. Baptism of John Long and Betty Hager by Leonard Wellman and Roy Egnor
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Long, Hager, Wellman, Egnor, Skeens Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ZCC.2ACE/1234 Message Board Post: This is a photo of my grandparents, John Milton Long and Betty Hager being baptised. According to my grandparents, on the right is Roy Egnor and on the left is Leonard Wellman. On Aug 7, 1948, Roy Egnor also officiated at the double wedding of my grandparents and Emma Hager and Charlie Skeens. This picture should be a year or so before then, so sometime in 1947 probably. According to my father, this is the Pine Grove Methodist church gathering at the Sias (could be spelled wrong) Fork of Nine Mile Creek.

    1. COLLINS/COOPERS and BLACKS CEMETERY
    2. Read the message concerning the Black's Cemetery. Is this the one off Rte. 10 coming from Huntington, after passing W. Hamlin and Hamlin, turning off to left at the VFW (?) and going up a narrow gravel road, guessing about 3miles, on the left on a little hill and next to a gas co. well? If this is the same one, has it been read by the genealogy group and is it for sale? My cousin and I were there several years ago looking for the grave of our gr.gr. uncle Isaac COOPER. What we found was a huge (the largest in the cemetery and about centered) of Luticia COOPER "Beloved Wife of Isaac Cooper". b) 26 August 1859, d) 11 Dec 1920. Isaac's name was there and nothing else. Isaac "IKE" Cooper was b) 25 April/May 1858 Lincoln Co. (W)VA and d) 22 May 1943 Cabell Co. WV. He was living with his nephew (son of his sister Sarah "Sallie"), Samuel E. COLLINS at the time of his death (Samuel "Sam" Collins is my grandfather). I was 9 yrs old when Uncle "IKE" died and do remember him. According to Heck Funeral Home records, Isaac Cooper was buried beside his wife, Luticia, in the Black's cemetery, but according to and uncle (who passed away in Aug.) Uncle "IKE" was buried in a cemetery in Culloden. Isaac Cooper's sister, Sarah "Sallie" Cooper, b) ca 1859 Lincoln Co.(W)VA. She m1) __?__NANCE and they had twins, a female died at birth or very young, a male, William Nance. Sarah "Sallie" Cooper's husband either died or they divorced as she was married to Andrew "Andy" Jackson Collins by 1879 as their first child, Martha A. Collins was born (this according to the 1880 WV census). They also had Walter b) ca 1883, Shelby b) 1885 and Samuel b) 1887. Before 1899 as Andrew J. Collins remarried to Elizabeth Clay (Johnson-divorced) and they had twins Cora and Flora b) 9 March 1900. Cora survived to age 14 and Flora died very young. Lots of unanswered questions, and if anyone can help me fill in would appreciate the help. I believe that Isaac and Sarah were either grands or gr. grandchildren of Old Silas Cooper and possibly children of William and Elizabeth Smith Cooper????? Thanks Barbara Harvey
