I'm using AOL and have been able to access the new vital records site once yesterday afternoon, just long enough to get my passcode, sign in and look for two names, then got knocked off from the site only. Since then, I get the message 502 Connection Hang-up. Anyone else having the same problem? I want to rule out any computer problems on my end. Thanks, Lora

John W. Chaney (1882-1944) and his wife Rosa B. Chaney (1879-1963) are both buried in the Porter Cemetery, Myra. I'm trying to find who Rosa's parents were. John W. is a brother to Homer James Chaney (1895-1966), also in the Porter cemetery. Lottie L. Chaney (1909-1967) may have been Homer's wife. Would like to find her parents as well. Lora

I am looking for information about an Adkins family. The father was Roma and they had a daughter named Tessie who was born about 1902 or so and got married in 1926 to a Mr Peyton. Anyone have information about these people? Thanks Pat

Sherrie - Here are the Lucas folks listed on the 1870 Census for Lincoln Co., WV as per Heritage Quest which indexes Heads of Households and/or another member in the household with a different surname: Lucas, Casset 22 yo ____ Irving 27 yo ____ Parker 58 yo _____ Peter 24 yo _____ Price 56 yo _____ Ralph 29 yo _____ Samuel 25 yo ____ Wm R 46 yo I checked the Census image for each of the above-named Lucas folks to see if I could find Charley and/or Lucinda in the same household, but did not find them. A quick check at Ancestry didn't turn up anything either in Lincoln Co for your folks. Perhaps the surname is spelled differently on the Census. I didn't use wildcards in the name at Ancestry although I can do that for you if no one else checks first. Another thought - could they be living elsewhere? I am trying to locate Alvin Ramey born September, 1928 and is the son of Charley and Emma Jane Adkins Ramey. Emma was my grandfather's(Alvin Adkins born 1885 died 1915) youngest sister and she name Alvin after my grandfather who died in 1915 after being struck by lightning while working in the fields. I would appreciate any help in trying to locate Alvin. I was sent a copy of the 1930 census with his name on it and my great-grandmother Julie P. Adkins was living with them at this time. Thank you for any help that you may give me. Sherrie Adkins Morgan

I went there a few years back and parked at Ishmael Johnsons house (little white house with black trim, I think). What Bias cemeteries are you looking for?
