I wonder if anyone in Lincoln County knows anything about My Adaline Stowers Stanley who lived on Merrits Creek there from her birth in 1890 until about 1923. She married John Henry Stanley, son of Martin Stanley. John Henry died there in 1923 and Martin died there in 1911. Adaline Stowers was born there but died in Huntington. She was the daughter of George Washington Stowers and Mary Elizabeth Nichols. Mary Elizabeth was born there in 1852 and died there in 1940. Participants at this workshop will have access to the Lincoln County Genealogical Society's collection including the new information donated by Dortha Hasen's family. Computer access, microfilm, and the copier will be available also--copies will be at a reduced rate thanks to the Hamlin Public Library.
