Classification: Queries Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ZCC.2ACE/979.1.1 Message Board Post: Hi Kathy, Thanks for the info. You're right about the 1880 census. I had seen a transcript of it that listed the names and dates, but I had not viewed the actual return to get the relationships. This helps clear my confusion about John William (or William John). I knew he lived with the family so was related somehow, but there was a large gap in age between him and the youngest child listed on the 1850 Pulaski Co., VA census. Too, Susan would have been 46 when he was born, which isn't impossible, but causes one to question if he really was her son. I had hypothesized that he could have been the illegitimate son of one of the older daughters, and this now indeed appears to be the case. The frustrating thing about this family and those census records is how much their ages bounce around. There aren't any two censuses that are consistent. So have you traced your Cookseys further back than Lawrence Co. KY? I have a Cecil family who was a first cousin to this Peck family who moved to Lawrence Co. KY from Tazewell Co. VA prior to 1860. Did your Cookseys also come from southwest VA? Thanks again and happy hunting, Mark

Hello, I had the pleasure of having this wonderful ladies son, Wilburn Triplett Jr for a teacher at Guyan Valley High School in 73 and 74. He was one of the best teachers I ever had. He taught math, algerbra, and typing, and I had him for all 3! Thank God for such an excellent typing teacher, for without him, I would be a one finger pecker!!!!! LOL Here's a little tidbit on Mr. Triplett. He and his wife always wanted children, but could never have any. I saw him at the hospital about 5 years ago and he couldn't wait to show me a photo and brag about the daughter God blessed them with..........AFTER he retired from teaching! HA! Nothing is impossible with God! Thanks Lynda for sharing this with us, and bringing back so many good memories. Your Cousin Debbie PS Sorry, Kathy, I accidently sent this to you the first time. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp

Hello Cuzzin Lynda! Sorry to hear about someone who sounded like a very special person! I think a genealogy line on her would be worth looking into! I noticed not only Lucas but Hutchinson. If anyone on the list has the ANNOTATED 1880 Census's for Lincoln Co. I'm looking for a maiden name for Cynthia A. who married Calvin Lucas. Calvin was the son of Parker Lucas and Chloe Dial! Your help would be appreciated! Also, on the Hutchinson Line, I have a Elizabeth Curtis(born Dec 1, 1855) who married Washington Winfield Hutchinson on Aug 2, 1870 Cabell Co. (Salt Rock) She had listed as parents Charlie Harler and Sarah Curtis. My speculations are that Charlie Harler is really Harless! In the 1880 Census her brother Henry Curtis age 12 was living with them! Any information on this line would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in Advance!
