Cara, yes the Kanawha county Court house in Charleston has many deed books. And you can get copies too. I think they will do a search for you, but I am not positive about that. Maybe someone else knows about that, I have been there myself, they are in the Clerks Office. Janet

Cara, I'm not sure regarding private people, but I work in a realty office in Charleston and whenever realtors are in need of a deed we are required to provide a deed book and page number to receive a copy of the deed. You may need to contact them to see what is actually required for a search.
