I know this might be a shot in the dark, but my mom always said 'it never hurts to ask.' So I'll ask. Does anyone know anything about the WV State Board of Dentistry? I am trying to see if they hold licensure for dentists who practiced in Kanawha Co. from about 1860-1910(ish). I'm wondering if the state board of dentistry might provide licensure info on a dentist who would have practice in the late 1800s. I was told by the American Dental Assoc. that these licensures would be held by local authorities and that maybe the county courthouse or the archives might copies of the licensures for this time period.
