Hello Cara and all, My husband and I went to the Courthouse at Charleston to check on some land deeds that my grandfather had. There was a lady who gave us a briefing and showed us the first time how to look things up. When we didn't understand something, she explained it briefly when she had some free time. We were able to obtain some information by the briefing she gave us. I can't remember her name (been a few years), but she was young and sweet. I was told that the library had some books that will help you to understand how to do a successful look up too. And if anyone needs something from (Roane County) Spencer, Charlie White is a sweetheart. He helped us out quite a bit when we were there. He even gave us a brief history. Imagne our shock when he said he looked up something for someone and it turned out to be a prenuptial agreement in the 1800's if a divorce was ever to occur.
