Am searching for information re: the family of my aunt, Gwendlene "Tootie" JACKSON, who married my Uncle James PETERS. According to my information, Gwendlene "Tootie" Jackson was born 6 May 1923 to James JACKSON & Della ??? ( maiden name unknown). James JACKSON & Della ??? also had another daughter named Garnett. After James JACKSON's death Della ??? married William Compton & they also had two children -- Denzil & Wanda COMPTON. Gwendlene "Tootie" JACKSON first married Mac/Mack KIDD & they had the following children: Ronald Gene KIDD, born circa 1941 Sonja Kay KIDD, born circa 1943 Mac/Mack KIDD died in 1942, a casualty of WWII, just prior to the birth of his daughter. Gwendlene "Tootie" Jackson married second, James Alvin Peters on 3 January 1948. James Alvin PETERS & Gwendlene lived for a time, just after their marriage, in Raleigh County & had the following children: Carolyn Jean PETERS, born 22 October 1948 Debra Ann PETERS, born 12 November 1953 James Alvin PETERS & Gwendlene also lived on Toney's Branch, Bloomingrose, Boone County, WV & are interred in a cemetery in Orgas, WV. The KIDDs may have been from around the Cabin Creek area of Kanawha County. Does anyone know Della's maiden name or have any information re: the ancestry of either James Jackson or Mac/Mack Kidd?
