I made my trip to Kanawha Co. (Thanks to everyone who told me how to get to the Court House!) I even went to the Archives at the State Capitol. I found some tantalizing clues and thought I'd repost my Jones-Phillips info to the list, in hopes that it will jog someone's memory. Josiah and Sarah Phillips children have names similar to Phillips children living in the Jarretts Ford area of Kanawha County, where Josiah and Sarah lived. JOSIAH JONES, son of William and Deborah Jones was born Abt. 1829 in Lewis Co., (W)VA, and died 01 November 1885 in Taylor County, WV. He married (1) SARAH "SALLIE" PHILIPS 25 September 1846 in Kanawha Co., WV, daughter of POLLY. She was born Abt. 1827 in VA, and died 01 March 1861 in Kanawha Co., (W)VA. He married (2) ELIZABETH KEENER 16 March 1864 in Taylor County, WV. Children of JOSIAH JONES and SARAH PHILIPS are: i. JOHN J. JONES, b.
