My G Grandfather Shelby Lockhart Gibbs was killed in the Dry Branch area in a mining accident. Shelby worked at the Peerless Mine that was owned by the Wet Branch Mining company located in the Dry Branch area of the Cabin Creek District. My G Grandmother's name was Myrtle Mae TURNER. She had 6 children, two of which were born after Shelby's death in 1919. The children's names were Mammie, Pauline, Homer Lockhart, Margaret M, (Twins) Cledoth and Edith. Edith died about 3 months after she was born. Shelby was killed in March of 1919 and the the twins were born in July of 1919. The family moved on after Shelby's death back to Montgomery County, Kentucky for a short time then to Raleigh County, West Virginia. My G Grandmother either remarried or was living with a man by the name of Alfred Smith when they moved to Raleigh County. If anyone has any information on this family would appreciate hearing ! from you. Thanks.
