I have caught this rather late but would it be possible for someone to locate newspaper published obituaries for persons who died as early as 1927, 1946, 1958 and 1962 or would I need to request these in some other way. I realize that the newspaper " The Charleston Daily Mail" may not have existed as early as these dates but perhaps another resource is accessible for the look-up. Hello All (especially Linda M., Sherry, Margie, Lori)... Thank you for your message in reply to my request for help in locating published obituaries in the *Charleston* newspapers. I did receive the 1946 obit for my great-grandfather from a researcher, on list, who has access to Ancestry.com (Thanks Michael S.). Unfortunately, the dates of deaths/obits of my interest are prior to January 1985 , the date of the "Charleston Daily Mail's" archived records. This rules out using the "Daily Mail's" website and the fee-based search/copy feature. Since I live too distant to WV I am unable to travel to Charleston to do the look-up in person. I have the complete names and death dates (1927 & 1962) for the two family members now I need a researcher, on foot, who might be able to help with this.
