A number of months ago there were several inquiries about Cabin Creek. My curiosity has gotten the best of me, so I'm sending this question: Is there someone out there that can fill in the blanks for me? I asked an older friend who lived on Cabin Creek for years in the 40s & 50s to name the towns for me. Somewhere along her recitation my writing slowed down (and she knew them all so well) that I cannot put them all together now that I've been thinking about it. Starting at what we called Cabin Creek Junction, there were: Weathy Acre Dry Branch Wet Branch Sharon Miami Dawes Ohley Eskdale Leewood (then there was a junction) Left fork to Black Snake Fork Laing Nabobe (another left fork that included) Jockens Carbon Republic (a right fork) Decota Wevaco United Nonomine (always thought it was Notamine with a long, long "I") (end of the road) And somewhere in there is Red Warrior and Kayford. Can someone set me straight? About how far (many miles) is it from Cabin Creek Junction to the end of the road at Nonomine? Thanks, Barbara BBarken73@aol.com
