Pring > Thomas, I'm a descendant of George Washington Stanley who married Fannie Young. Their homeplace was on Campbell's Creek at Tad, WV, after they moved there from near Malden (around George's Creek). Both of them are buried on the hill behind where their house was--the house burned some years ago in the 70's, I believe. Their oldest daughter, Maude Ella Stanley, was my grand aunt and lived there til she moved in with us in 1964--she died in 1965, and I helped carry her to her grave on that hillside. My mom inherited her old pie safe that had belonged to the Youngs--Fannie's family--and now my brother in St. Albans has it. I'm related to about every third house in the Kanawha Valley and on every creek that feeds it, so we oughta be able to raise somebody there who can run over to Tad for us. Fannie was the daughter of 3.1--Charles Conrad Young, b. 2 Feb 1807; d. Feb 1905, on Line Creek, Nicholas Co.; m. 28 Apr 1832 to Margaret James (b. 24 Jun 1814; d. 10 Apr 1873); 12 children .
