I have noticed that the descendants of one son, Edward, have spiratically used it. Our son has the middle name Griffiths, we pronounce it Griffith but it does carry on the S. It has been a treat over the yrs when people ask him his name. He goes by T. Griff Jones at work and Griff to all who know him. It is difficult for people to keep that s silent. > Are you sure the name has an S on it? People call me Griffiths all the time > but my name does not have an S. I am thinking when my husband visits his sister for a day in Jackson I might be able to drive to St. Albans. At least that is where I know most lived. > > Thanks for writing, > Sandy in Florida > Maybe I will catch up with my mail when I retire, in 2010! I missed FL this yr due to illnesses in the family. It seems to have been a difficult yr for people of poor health. When the day comes my dad is feeling better I will let him know that he picked a bad yr to get sick. It was the worst winter in several yrs and of course I had to stay home through the cold, snow and ice. I hope to be bk in fl for nxt winter season. > > DO NOT SEND ATTACHMENTS, JOKES, VIRUS WARNINGS OR CHAIN LETTERS, THANKS. > I will gladly exchange genealogy information if you will kindly do the same. Give a shout on some Griffith info and we can see if there are any links. ~pat~ > > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 >
