Any information is very helpful with these Brown's. My great grandmother was Minnie Lee Brown and I don't have any information on her and her family whatsoever. If you have anything on Denver Brown, please forward it to me. Thanks. To which book did you find this information from? Here's the short version: Otho D. Huddleston, born 1859, married Anne Proctor. Otho was son of: Job Huddleston 1814-1903, married Elizabeth McCoy in 1844 Job was son of: Thomas J. Huddleston, 1769-1825, married Sally Canada in 1790 (Thomas was the brother of my ancestor John Paddy Huddleston) Thomas J. was the son of: Daniel Huddleston, 1735-1817, married Rachel Martin Daniel was the son of: Henry Huddleston, 1706-1780, married Mary Wilkinson 1733 Henry was the son of: Henry Huddleston, ca1660-1706, married Elizabeth Cooper 1701 The eldest Henry lived in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It is my understanding that his home still stands today in the historic district. I wish to look into this further. Daniel Huddleston and brother William moved to Bedford County, Virginia, and from there into the Kanawha Valley of Virginia (now WV) about 1780. I have found evidence it may have been because they were Tories during the Revolution. Daniel Huddleston was arrested and jailed for taking the oath of fealty to King George and attempting to administer the same to others. According to the Tables, Otho's children were: Clarence, Fred, Herbert, Alma, Dewey, Ruby and Mary. Ruby is shown to have married Walter Dunlap. Unfortunately, I find no further information on your Browns or Dunlaps in this book. In the Fayette Co. marriages I find that Walter S. Dunlap married Minnie L. Brown on Dec (possibly 26) 1899. Parents are given as Wm B. & Maria Dunlap and Wm. P. & Ella Brown. Hope this is of some help. I didn't know this was a place to carry on a private feud. The key word here is private, which is where it should be done. Please unsubscribe me.
I guess its time to shut up this woman once and for all. First of all John H. Myers was my Great Grandfather. John L. Myers was my Grandfather Gusta Myers Hardy was my mother. I have a picture of the head stone of John H. Myers and will be glad to share with anyone who wants to see it. Narcissus was in the 1900 Boone Co Census. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/wv/boone/census/1900/03-14b.gif She was in the 1910 Kanawha County Census living with MY GRANDPARENTS John Myers And Nancy Miller Myers 1910 Kanawha County Census Washington Dist. House # 173 Family #173 I don't know how else to prove to this woman that this is my family unless I send her a copy of my mothers birth cer and mine but I don't think that's any of her business. I think its sad when you have to use a nice forum like the Kanawha Co mailing list to prove your family line but I guess as long as you have stupid people who won't admit they are wrong you have to do what you have to. I can see people in the same family not agreeing on dates but someone who didn't even know this family or doesn't even know where they lived resort to posting such trash on the internet. I guess the only way to make her see he died April 6th 1888 is for her to meet me at Brounland Cemetery in Kanawha County and see for herself that that is the correct death date. I thought these post ems were to correct wrong info not to start another Hatfields and McCoys.

I'll most likely in in trouble for this but someone had to say something as Sandra as scared off to many people. Some have emailed me crying about the way Sandra has talk to them in the pass. And too I thought that at Ancestry .com where the ADD - Postems, that it was to and things or to ask the person things about what was put there. I'm not right about a lot of the items I've put there and people do email me about it. But I surely would never think I was ALWAYS RIGHT. Now as for Sandy being a teacher, well I'd think twice about being one of her students. Don't even think about asking anything. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Emma Ayles" <eayles@houston.rr.com> To: <WVKANAWH-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, August 02, 2003 6:12 AM Subject: Fw: [WVKanawha] Narcisus Griffith 1858-1913 > I'm sorry that I,m posting this reply to the list, but it's time. I'm sorry that I,m posting this reply to the list, but it's time. Sandra, you should of emailed Deb personally and keep this between the to of you. Debra Ann Jones is correct. She does know her Myers people. You do need to spend some time on your files as some ARE wrong. Lemuel Griffith was married twice. Lucinda Glass and Marinda Jane Daily, and between the marriages had about 24 kids. Onelesson you need is on rudeness. As there are many of us that you are rude to. You also do not have a monopoly on the Griffith, Meadows, or any of the others we all share. I've had this talk with you before and as for sharing, you only share what you want to and keep what some of may need to get into the DAR to your self. I only started doing Genealogy about 10 years ago because I was in an art class and a friend was talking about what a great thing it was to be a part of this was and to share with others. But then again I think not. As for the Myers and Griffith connection Debra is correct. I'm sure Sandra you did not go to the reunions as she did. Debra and I share this family very close. Nar. Griffith and John Myers to there kids, John who married Nancy Miller and Lona Myers who married John Price. John Myers is Debra's Grandfather and Lona is my grandmother. So I don't see Sandra Griffith name coming down in there any place. As for rudeness....... Sandra maybe this is a lesson...... Be nice to others..... Sorry again to the list. Debra, you go girl. And I know there are many of you out there that have had to deal with Sandra in the pass and just have not said nothing. Does anyone have information about Isaac Pierce and his wife Russell May? I know they were married in the early 1900s @ about 1911 or so. I believe they had a son Hugh Preston Pierce. But think Russell May was married before and had children with the last name CECIL. Three girls Georgia and Hesper and Mary CECIL. Sound familiar to anyone? Pat
Its been a while. I thought I would ask if anyone on this list is researching the early Russells of Kanawha? If so please contact me and maybe we can help each other. Pat
I have that Minerva Catherine married Christopher Columbus Griffith in 1871. He was the son of Lemuel Griffith and Lucinda Grass. I have no source for this information.
