Hello fellow researchers! I am hoping to connect with someone that can help me fill in some blanks on the Gandee family I am researching. Starting from William B. Gandee, born Sep 9, 1897 in Roane Co., WV . . . son of Ellis Everett Gandee and Ida Patton . . . William B. was married to a Grace ________ or Annie Branham?? about 1920. I haven't been able to locate a marriage record. Haven't been able to locate his death or his wife's death. Last found them in 1930 in Kanawha Co. Does anyone know where the Keiffer Cemetery is? This could be where father Ellis is buried. Ellis was born Aug 1, 1873 in Roane Co., WV and died July 30, 1957. He's supposed to be buried at Keiffer. His wife was Ida Patton married 3/6/1897. Cora is shown as wife on census record of 1930 and 1920. I haven't found him in 1910 or 1880. I don't know when Ida died or Cora died. Sure would love to hear from someone. I don't know when Karen

I am looking for information on the marriage and divorce of Helen Virginia PETERS and Fred Staunton GREYBILL Jr. They were married 26 Oct 1940 in Russell, KY. They were both residents of Charleston, WV. I have a copy of the marriage announcement from the Charleston Daily Mail (3 Nov 1940) but know nothing else of this marriage. I know they divorced before 2 Jul 1949 when Fred married Nellie Foster in Nevada. Fred and Nellie are my grandparents, but I am very curious about my grandfather's first marriage, especially whether or not there were any children born. I also wonder why they went to Kentucky to get married. And why the marriage was not announced until after the fact. Also, none of the bride's or my grandfather's family appear to have attended the wedding, as they are not listed among the guests. In a town where the birthday parties and engagement parties thrown for my grandfather and his siblings are listed, why would this one be left until after the fact. It just seems odd to me. Any help would be great. I am planning a trip to Kanawha County and wondered if anyone on the list had an address for the Court House. I am assuming Land Deeds, and Death records are kept there, also, where might I find Cemetery Books, to see where my family may have been buried? Thanks Beth Searching For My Lost Family: BOWMAN, BROOKS, HAYDEN, HOSKINS, JOHNSON, LEWIS, MCCARTY, RUPE, STOTTS, or STURTZ
Want to thank all who answered my query. Some thought the cemetery in Beckley. But the one I was looking for is in Dunbar. I did find someone on this list who is helping me that lives nearby the cemetery. This is a wonderful list!
