Hi folks! I'm still searching for several Kanawha families. Tonight I'm hoping someone might have information on Adelia Wood. Per census Adelia was born in 1852 in VA. After viewing the 1870 census I found Robert B. Wood age 56 and Carpenter in 1870. with children John H. (38), Geneva (28), Zero (21),Nancy L. (19), Delia (16),Eldorado (14), Josephine and grandchildren James A. (11), Charles (6),Robert B. Jr (3). Next Door with a LC Charles Pickering with Permaly age 27 and Eva WOOD age 6 (stepdaughter). Possible Robert B Wood is Adelia's father. Adelia married James Dillon (I am also searching for his parents' families .... Robert and Eliza Dillon. Robert s/o Lucy.) James and Adelia's children that I know of were: Walter Dillon b. 1872 andd Napoleon Bonaparte b. June 1875. Another reason I'm thinking Robert Wood is Adelia's father is that he has a daughter named Josephine. Silly conjecture maybe but possible. Thank you so much! Laura (direct descendant of Sines, Taylor, Savage, Surface, Wiseman, Skiles, Dillon, Wood, Smith, Fletcher, Milam, Friend, Tackett, Brown, Crow families of WV) *************************** Laura's pages for Homeschooling, Gardening, and Genealogy are found here: http://home.att.net/~ekyorigins *******************
