Pioneers on the Jackson gen page to get a b. date of 1814 in VA for James. Took that to LATTER DAY SAINTS FAMILY SEARCH and found that Rachel was born 1816 in VA, married in 1832. Says her name was Rachel James. Sorry but I could take her back no further. James' older brother Silas was my gr-gr-gr grandfather. A lot of the early Slaughters are buried at Falling Water Cem near Belgrove but James and Rachel do not appear to be. I'll scan around for them.
