I have been trying to connect my Martins (from Putnam county) on my mothers side with the martins(putnam and Kanawha county) on my fathers side, but I have not found the connection yet. I have Thortons in the line too, and Rhodes as well. The Rhodes are on the Goode side of the family, and the Thortons on the Smith side. These Smiths and Goode family came from Botetourt county virginia.
