I am a volunteer in the Jackson County Library, Ripley Branch, Ripley WV 25271. I am NOT so far as I know related to any Mericals. I am interested in Maps and the location of Graveyards which is how I got into the discussion on the location of Merical Run and Merical Hollow--The discussion is unresolved until someone goes out there and quizes people about it. I can't offer you any Merical family insights-not my family, as I mentioned above. I can offer some assistance but I do not know the scope of the problem. There are at least two other people involved in researching this family, one of which has already responded to this series of questions above. Might be a good idea to hook up with that lady. Some simple look-up information can be offered: births, deaths, marriages. Can you pose a question or two to get started? And offer some information? Would you like to have me look for those two names you mentioned? If you want copies of findings the library makes a small charge for copies.
