Good morning, list - I am a Sherman (surname) researcher, and am writing a series of articles about "places" around the U.S. named SHERMAN, for our newsletter. I noticed in the 1870 census that there were Sherman Townships in Boone Co., and Calhoun Co. - but my current Atlas only lists a "Sherman" in Jackson County. I have written to the Jackson Co. Historical Society, but am hoping also that someone on this list can tell me about the town of Sherman.
