If Mr Freeman died in Jackson County and the services were held at a local funeral home, it must have been at the old Vail Funeral Home. I believe that the other three funeral homes in Jackson County have either posted all of their obituaries or emailed the obituaries to me to post for them since January 1998. These include Casto Funeral Homes, Parsons/Waybright Funeral Home and Roush Funeral Home. All of these obituaries can be seen on the Obits Board of the Jackson County WVGenWeb page. You can search by surname but you need to use the drop down box under "Period" and select "several eons" to search all postings back to 1998. The Mr. Freeman in question does not appear in the search that I just performed but that surname does appear in several different obituaries.
