She was born in Jackson County, a daughter of the late Rev. James Perry and Ora Ellen Gandee. She was a retired cook from the Jackson County school system and a member of the Stone Lick Community Church. Surviving are two daughters, Deloris Jean McConnell of Ravenswood, and Janet Sue Denton of Hendersonville, Tenn.; three sons, Clyde J. and J. Michael of Kenna, and Julian T. of Cottageville; sisters Reba Garnes and Virginia Carnell of Kenna; one brother, Basil Gandee of Kenna; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde, a son, Jerry and a brother, Rev. Herman Gandee. Services were Monday, Feb. 15, at 11 a.m. at Parsons Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. Joe Hatcher officiating. Burial was at the Stone Lick Cemetery, Kenna.
