She was born Nov. 14, 1855, to William Henry(Billy) Aplin and Mary Frances Lett in Gay,WV. She married McGarry(Doc)Archer on July 1, 1877 in Ripley, WV.,After Sarah married Doc Archer, her father, Billy Aplin gave her a large farm of over 300 acres, and since Doc was a good farmer, he made the farm profitable, and loved Sarah dearly.
