Hanged by a lynch mob on the night of 13-14 Oct 1887 for the murder of Rev. Thomas P. Ryan, Sr. Another man, Chester Coon, had his throat cut by the lynch mob for the murder of Rev. Thomas P. Ryan, Sr.) This bit of information is to be found on the Duff Cemetery listing in the Jackson County Cemetery Pages. I would like to know the details of this case. I know that there was only one legal hanging in Jackson County. Were there any more lynchings besides the Duff Lynching?
